Research

At the Ellen Shaw de Paredes Breast Cancer Foundation, we are champions of early detection to save lives through education, research, and free screenings.  The pilot research that is done directly benefits patient care and the early detection of this dreaded disease.  “To Know Is To Live” is a key component of our effort to fund research projects.

In this section you will find an application to apply for Research Funding from the Ellen Shaw de Paredes Breast Cancer Foundation.  We welcome your emails and calls to find out more about our funding and timetable.

Dr. Johnathan Hays and Dr. Chad Coeyman, Paredes Foundation Fellows, worked on a research project on Pleomorphic Lobular Carcinoma in Situ, a rare aggressive type of breast cancer. Dr. Hays presented the poster at the Radiologic Society of North America meeting in Chicago in December 2011 and received a red ribbon award for his work.
