The Ellen Shaw de Paredes Breast Cancer Foundation in partnership with The Office of Continuing Education of the University of Virginia School of Medicine has scheduled the following dates for their 25th, Annual Update Conference on Breast Imaging and Interventions:

This course is a comprehensive review of breast imaging presented by nationally recognized experts in the field.  The course is unique in its combination of lectures covering topics ranging from interpretation of mammography, ultrasound and MRI to practical workshop session offering participants active interaction with the faculty.  The participants will be shown numerous unknown cases to challenge and improve their interpretative skills and an audience response system is used for self-testing.  Five ABR qualified SAM credits will be offered in the areas of Breast MRI/MRI Biopsy and Radiologic-Pathologic correlation.

Important clinical and practice management topics will be covered on day two.  New modalities and current “hot topics” will be discussed on day three.  In the ultrasound and MRI workshops, participants will have an opportunity to perform biopsies on phantoms on phantoms using the imaging equipment.
