You can make your donation to support specific programs that are of particular interest to you.

• Free Screening Mammography Program – The goal of the Program is to provide mammograms to medically underserved or uninsured women in the Greater Richmond area.  The Ellen Shaw de Paredes Foundation is pleased to be partnering with Susan G. Komen – Richmond, Bon Secours Richmond, the Paredes Institute for Women’s Imaging, and numerous free clinics to make the Free Screening Mammography Program possible.
• Professional Education Program – The Foundation has created a physician and clinician education program that is changing the way physicians and their medical staff approach the early detection of breast cancer.  This includes regional and national continuing medical education lectures and programs that are offered by the Foundation throughout the year.
• Fellows Program – Training more specialists in the field of breast imaging is one of the Foundation’s primary missions.  Support for this program will assure that more radiologists sub-specialize in breast imaging.
• Dr. Thomas Langer Conference Room – Dr. Langer was a radiologist at Baylor University who died of a brain tumor in February 2009.  He was an internationally known teacher in the field of mammography and showed his love of teaching in each of his carefully prepared and presented lectures.  He was a visiting faculty member at many of the educational programs sponsored by the Foundation, and made a significant contribution to the success of these CME programs.  The Foundation wishes to honor Dr. Langer by naming the conference room at the Foundation after him.
